ePerSpace was invited to the Broadband Europe conference to present its results in a session primarily focusing on video and content delivery in general and end-to-end quality of service.
Networks and networking technologies such as xDSL, cable, fibre and wireless were in the focus at the Broadband Europe conference. ePerSpace complemented very nicely this technology focus with application scenarios and highlighting how technology can empower the user.
The conference reinforced the view that the dialog between projects belonging to the Broadband for All theme and the Networked Audio Visual Systems and Home Platforms work area of the 6th Framework Programme needs to be strengthened. Although, in principle projects falling in the second group are agnostic with respect to the access network technology, but certain assumptions and principles need to be agreed between leading projects of the two work areas to ensure seamless service delivery to the user.
